your first priority on starting on a server as aged as this one is is to get some cash flow. Play a decent solo class that can either finance what you need or get it another way (druids are excellent for this via ports and PL, necro for farming drops, etc). Then use that cash flow to twink yourself on the character you'd actually like to take to the end game based on your preferred play style

I don't like this advice for anyone. The time it would take to level a class to the point it can make a decent amount of money + the time required to make that money is not worth the twinking you can get done with it. You'd spend DAYS /played just to make like several thousand pp. That kind of money isn't going to buy a warrior better gear than he could get handed down to him just by playing and making an honest effort to be good, informing people he's brand new and untwinked as a consequence, etc. Plus if you go right into the warrior in this case, you'd already be playing what you really like and earning xp on it and etc.
