yes if are quad-ing with this staff you need to run out of casting range and spam click your staff as the mobs slowly creep into range

soon as they hit in range the cast time is so long that the mobs will basically be within 1-2 seconds away from raping your face, so you need to make sure you start trying to cast when they are still out of range... IE you must begin casting at the max distance allowed

once you are good and practiced with the staff, you can time your escape much safer by literally starting to run fractions of a second before your staff hits however first time or two you do this will probably just interrupt your spell

but practice it and you will be quad-ing a lil safer with the lumi staff
