So you make some rules up arbitrarily without input from the vast majority of the player base, ban a handful of people over such rules, admit the rules weren't well thought out and need to be changed and still refuse to unban the players?
Would it not be a fair solution to redo the rules based on player feedback, unban those who received punishment during the previous failed ruleset and move on? Anyone who thinks that is not a rational solution is just trying to further their agenda.

No need to muddy the waters. If you are saying players of this fine box wanting to clean up the server is an agenda then so be it. You need to follow the rules in place period. Yes, there is always room for improvement and server feedback but trying to change the rules and then going back in time to say previous infractions don't count doesn't make sense.
Couple that with the disrespect some players have shown to the GMs/Devs, whose names shall remain nameless, and you have a clear reason to uphold the judgement that has been laid upon them.
