as has been said numerous times in this thread, player to player transactions (as opposed to afk-trader to player transactions) are an extremely important and distinguishing characteristic of EQ, and the bazaar destroyed that. use larger chat windows and smaller fonts if it goes too fast.
as for item links? you could always check the item in the trade window to see if it was 1h/2h etc before you hit "trade", i never found this to be a problem (only a potential waste of time).
i think if there is one thing we can say we as classic eq players have seen, its that sometimes making "convenient" changes can completely destroy portions of the game that large groups find essential to the flavor of everquest.
