/say range etc.... doesn't solve the spam problem if you're wanting to read the auctions.
Bazaar or no bazaar, something needs to be done because the rate some people spam isn't fair on other auctioneers and encourages faster spam generally. If the server continues to grow, it'll get worse... and it's a matter of time before more threads on this topic come up.
Maybe the bazaar isn't the best solution, but fire a warning shot at those who spam too quickly.
