Also, there isn't a risk of someone taking them, I have spoken with Sirken and he told me if someone chose to take them it would be considered a scam for a fair service and they could get banned for it and you would get your puppet strings back.

I'm sure the GMs here would do something if someone attempted to steal the Puppet Strings while doing the OT hammer. It's still not fun having to deal with CSR and waste the GMs' time because someone thought they could get away with scamming you.
