there is no item loot because it would be worse for server population. most ppl are more casual than they used to be 15 years ago and aren't looking to lose the gear they farmed on their spare time.

This is the kind of logic that lead to what EQ is now, and seems to ignore the reason why 1999 exists in the first place.
Sorry, one more question, is faction/race a factor on the PvP server? Myself and a friend are considering being a duo and are curious whether tallies/evil/shorties/elves is still the grouping. Thanks
