If Abacab is "humanity," are you defining the term in its more fatalistic sense? - that humanity is the often futile attempt to transform animal impulse through the lens of self-awareness into something noble? A defining part of the term is "failure," you know. Human awareness is a dark glass, as Paul of Tarsus might tell you.
