Not true. Again we are talking about spectating vs interacting. I'd say hanging out with your buddies playing cards is more akin to raiding. Hanging out with pals watching sports on TV is akin to hanging out with pals and watching paint dry. It can still be fun (because of how you interact with your pals), but the activity itself is not engaging. Hanging out with your buddies and watching 20 minutes of actual football, 2 hours of commercials, and an hour of dumb commentary, in the course of 3 hours, CAN be fun, but it's not because of what you're watching. Yes though, I am visiting my mother for one more night here. It's a little boring, but it's not like I couldn't still play EQ. I just hate playing games on my laptop.

I guess me and my buddies watch games different than other people. We do more interacting with each other and the TV is just background noise/conversation starter.
