It is just more fun to actually have to pay attention to where you are fighting, and what you are fighting, and maybe your mana is running out, and if you die, where is your corpse, and eventually the exp penalty will hurt, so you will have to make friends.
... and everything isn't handed to you on a plate, and your hand isn't held all along the way.

Make no mistake, a LOT of players on this server have their hands (and more) held from level 1 to 50 and beyond. It's all about who you know, and who you reacharound.
