Here is how I solved this problem and was able to loot my corpse:
Basically what is happening is you have a 'phantom' corpse, so to speak. You can drag it and do not get the 'too far away message', but the actual IMAGE of your corpse does not drag. It stays put. If you drag your phantom corpse away from the image of your corpse, you can not loot it. To solve the problem, use /cor to move your phantom corpse ON TOP of the image of your corpse (by standing on top of it) and then loot.
