Turns out you needed magical weapons to hit the muddites as well

it also takes a magical weapon to hit these creatures

The muddite elders did see invis, and so did the muddite minors

When i walked by a muddite minor and a Goblin Lookout, they could see me, and attacked. It would appear that they both can see people who are invisible.

(shortly thereafter my camo did expire and a muddite elder hit me)

Decaying Skeletons were originally KOS (and still are in zones that haven't had the newbie spawngroups revamped)
