Do not know if I am of any help or not. But mine makes a directory "logs".
For example, mine is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\Logs
If you do not see the logs directory in your eq folder, I wonder if you were to open your eq ini file and change the logging to TRUE so that it does it automatically it would force it to make the directory and thus the log? This would be the following (for me):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest
Then look for the file "eqclient". If using notepad, make sure you change to all files so it is not on the default .txt. Also make sure you open notepad as admin or you may have troubles saving. This will make it though that your log is always on. But then at least can go in and change it off, albeit manually. Look for Logs and change it to true:
Logs=true
Someone with more expertise may know why when you type in log on it is not making the directory. Are you looking in right place?
Also, with a screenshot, I think that just saves it to the clipboard? For me, I open up photoshop and put it into there (control+V) or paste, and then save it. But I did not know it automatically saves.
Hope this helps some.
EDIT: PS-
If you edit the config file to logging to true, make sure you are not in eq when you do it, or the config file will just overwrite what it is at the moment and thus will not save.
