What about Let Me In / Let The Right One In? The original (subtitled) movie was pretty amazing. The English version of the book had some editorial issues, but I still think it was a great read.

I think I saw the american version of the first movie. Vampire neighbor girl, right? I thought it kinda sucked but totally forgot about the foreign version. Noted, and thx. I like vampires as long as they don't sparkle.

Oh, speaking of vampire movies. The only vampires that ever scared the shit out of me were in the original Salem's Lot. The movie - can't remember if I read the book or not. I was really young when I watched the film and had nightmares over it. Good stuff...
