This is why I never have said I am porting for donations. I am providing a service and using my personal time to do so, with a clear goal in mind: increasing my weight in platinum.
Therefore, I will /ooc "Porting for PLAT..." not, "Porting for donations..."
Whether someone is doing it for donations, or doing it as a clear service, they are using their personal time to decrease your travel time significantly. Perhaps they just don't have the courage or audacity to tell it like it is, they want your money or items for giving you fast travel at the expense of their own personal time.
