Draining the healer's mana unnecessarily for one, making steady pulls less steady (burning it down quicker), repops become more unstable if on the same timer...
I dunno, its just better to throw a nuke in on every mob..and not a super awesome nuke when the mob is at 3% to get the killing hit. The best wizards get the mob to under 5% with their big nuke and let the melee folks finish it off
