Weed is a light psychedelic. It makes you take a look at yourself and your life. If you dont like where you are in your life at that moment it can give you stress, anxiety etc. thats how it is for me now. I use to smoke weed everyday for a couple years and never once had any paranoia or anxiety etc. i was also happy at my life at that time. Now a days when i smoke i start feeling wicked guilty about my problems and it makes me look at those problems head on.

I can only enjoy a very small, tiny lil hit of weed and i cant even hold it in for long i exhale quickly. I get decently high and thats all i can handle. Try that maybe
+1, this post.

Honestly though, here's my two cents after 10+ years of partaking in the reefer and have personally experience these weird anxiety or "panic attack"-like symptoms. Usually, people who are physically unfit tend to experience these "panic attacks" out of nowhere more often than people who lead a healthy lifestyle and have a somewhat normal social routine.

Not to say that you, Rellapse, are physically unfit or are a hermit who smokes alone often (but if you were, you'd further add to this hypothesis). I smoked quite often, sometimes multiple times per day and had no symptoms related to this for a very long period of time. Out of nowhere (seemingly), I started getting extreme anxiety attacks when I would smoked any quality of bud. It felt like I couldn't catch my breath, my hands and feet would start to become numb (also known as neuropathy/peripheral neuropathy), and the feeling of numbness would radiate outwards towards my chest and face, legs, arms.. the first time it happened I thought I was having an honest heart attack and was very close to calling 911 on myself and be admitted to the nearest ER.
+1 been there, hah the heart attack part really messed me up. For me it's probably an underlying medical condition. I tend to work out a decent amount and body is fine.

My only suggestion is small hits, wait 5-10minutes and just don't over do it. If you're unhappy with you're life and you're getting the panic/anxiety attacks don't even bother with smoking because it's just not worth it. Figure out/change whatever is heavy on your mind and after that is said and done, smoke a bowl. I'd definitely start small with spliff(if your smoke tobacco), or a pipe. Bongs are complete shit when you're just starting to smoke, they get you too high especially if your tolerance is low. Once you're up to a certain tolerance though, go out and buy yourself a nice bubbler for 80-100$.
