I voted no as I couldn't figure out what the purpose of it would be.
I am a bit confused as to what direction the staff may or may not take with the game in regards to servers. I'll explain.
With the PvP server, we have an underpopulated heap of shi... I mean, people, that was a result of numerous launch problems, bugs, and later GM decisions & bans that left people with questions. Moving forward, a new PvP teams server was announced as being considered. So what would happen with the old PvP server?
The initial answer was that both servers would run side-by-side for 8 to 10 months, then both PvP servers would be merged. No details were mentioned as to which ending rules set would be used, although it was implied that the Teams rules would continue.
A reasoning for the merger being forced on a "fresh" server wasn't really given other than an unspoken, implied "we don't want the existing PvP server players to lose all their shit." reason. So... whatever.
Moving forward to the PvE server scene. Since Wiping a server isn't a considered option for the PvP server fiasco described above, it's a given that that we won't see a PvE server wipe either. Ever.
Yet at the same time, it's been mentioned repeatedly that the development of the game and expansions was being done for the sole reason of it being finished one day, and thus the entire thing could be played and enjoyed in a traditional Time Release fashion.
So what would this mean? It means if it ever happened, the existing PvE server would become a ghost town as the new "pure" PvE server launch would grab everyone and their grandmother. Yet a ghost town transition of a server is what they wanted to avoid with the PvP server situation mentioned above, thus the merger.
I really don't know what's up with the facts that have been tossed out, and I kinda feel that I'll continue to not know what's up.
