Why no one takes liberals seriously is because all of your goals are only achieved through governments monopolization of force. You think everyone is too dumb to make their own decisions so you want to put the worst kinds of people in power to make these decisions for you. All government functions never take into account what happens in the long run it's all short term solutions that create long term problems.

I am all for local municipalities and counties doing what is is right for them. My big issue is with corporate level chicanery. Stuff local govt cant negotiate or work against. Insurance. Monopolization. Insurance. I work in a conservative city. With a conservative mayor. In a conservative state. My wife is a fucking Libertarian. I get good ideas. Small govt people need to realize some shit is to big for them to fix . People also need to realize trying to legislate social (Christian) law is the same shit as sand fuckers legislating sharia law. I do not need or want your values and my sundays ruined.
Govt: invest in things that work, give things a chance to work, cut things that do not or restructure. That should be your entire purview.
Sqabbling about shit that has been voted and passed...aka abortion...aka healthcare(48 repeal votes in the house) is a waste of time. Fighting about a budget is fine. But do your job. And get it done with compromise.
