Well to be fair they did a pretty cool thing by keeping this server active for its fanbase, free of charge, for as long as they did. No profit has been made from EQMac for a long time.

Wish they'd kept the Planetside 1 servers open for longer...was a very sad time to see them go, and that was before F2P became the norm
