'Deadbeat dad' is a term referring to parents that play 9 consecutive hours of Everquest nightly after getting off work and who ignore the pleas of their fellow guildmates to tend to the hunger pangs of their child that are audible to everyone on Vent. These people are also known make 23 forum posts per day while at work, as further proof that 100% of their life is fully committed to Everquest.
