This is a classic server with classic (or as close to classic as is reasonably possible) mechanics. If you believe a change has been made that is NOT classic, provide evidence of such and the devs will take it in to consideration.
Whining about mages being nerfed when they were nerfed in the classic timeline is pointless. Also, pets still proc weapons, just at the same rate as players now (read the patch notes).
