If you think that's how it is then you are a fool. At some level no matter how small it is taking away from velious.
And as far as people not bringing food or drinks. Dont come if you dont want to bring food. its that simple. Going to the devs and saying you will only work on a new pvp server should be met with a 'Thanks but no thanks. We are focusing on Velious." One of the higher ups has to over see the new pvp server which takes away from his time spent of velious. Which takes away from velious. Period.
If the devs have 10 people at their disposal and had all of them working on Velious then one day one of the higher ups decides to get some more volunteers so he can start a new project. Well, that one higher up is taken away from Velious for whatever amount of time it took to get that started. And if you are going to go look for volunteers for something...it should be for Velious. Nothing else.
Am i being an ass about this? Yes. Im just simply saying that when the devs say that the new pvp server doent affect Velious it isnt quite true. It does on some level.
Personally i dont care when Velious comes out. Im just pointing out the fact that things arent quite as they seem.

You are missing my point. Admin A 'Could' actively look for more programmers for the Velious Project instead of turning his attention to a pvp server or getting shitfaced in vegas or ANYWHERE else. I am not saying he should. Im just saying that it is something that he could do if said Admin chose to that would eventually, no matter how little, move the Velious project forward. Am i saying this is the BEST way to do things all around? No. I'm just saying the statement that new red doesn't take away from velious isn't true. It will even if a tad.
And, it seems i need to point this out, again. I haven't said that the devs SHOULD do anything.
Now if we get on the topic of whether New red should or shouldnt be ... thats a different story.

They already have volunteers. Tell them they can work on New Red after they work on Velious a bit or after its done. Will they all go for it? No, but some will. And would it be a risk letting in new people...yes, but it is a possibility. Where there is a will there is a way.

holy shit you're about as dumb as a bag of rocks. ANYBODY in the community has an open invitation to assist with velious. please read these linked threads for more info

as far as the pvp development, Nilbog has said countless times that it has zero impact on Velious. If you are too dense to grasp that concept, i'm not sure what else i can tell you. the pvp devs are here to work on pvp because they volunteered to work on pvp, if they wanted to work on velious they could, but they do not. we are not their bosses, they are not our employees, so as volunteers they work on the things that they have volunteered to work on,and the things that they have the knowledge to work on. on top of that, to my knowledge they dont even have access to velious stuff, so it's not possible within our physical universe for them to even do work on velious.
bottom line, if you don't like the way we do things, you know where the door is. we know it's impossible to please everyone in a community this large, but i think we do a damned good job pleasing the majority the of the community.
now, please find a different topic to spread misinformation about.
