You're assuming that resource would be available for anything else. These are volunteers, donating their time for a specific purpose.
It's like people volunteering to bring cups and plates for a party. Don't expect them to bring drinks or food. They're just bringing cups and plates. There's no chance of them bringing drinks or food.

If you think that's how it is then you are a fool. At some level no matter how small it is taking away from velious.
And as far as people not bringing food or drinks. Dont come if you dont want to bring food. its that simple. Going to the devs and saying you will only work on a new pvp server should be met with a 'Thanks but no thanks. We are focusing on Velious." One of the higher ups has to over see the new pvp server which takes away from his time spent of velious. Which takes away from velious. Period.
If the devs have 10 people at their disposal and had all of them working on Velious then one day one of the higher ups decides to get some more volunteers so he can start a new project. Well, that one higher up is taken away from Velious for whatever amount of time it took to get that started. And if you are going to go look for volunteers for something...it should be for Velious. Nothing else.
Am i being an ass about this? Yes. Im just simply saying that when the devs say that the new pvp server doent affect Velious it isnt quite true. It does on some level.
Personally i dont care when Velious comes out. Im just pointing out the fact that things arent quite as they seem.
