PVP in Everquest is horrible. It does not matter if it is in a teams environment or not. This game was designed for PvE. The PVP is complete shit and nothing will ever change that.

This guy is on the right track. I love eq but the pvp is not so great. That is why the pvp server didnt do so hot. Blame it on the bugs or glitches all you want.
You know how on blue there are a few top guild running the show. When that happens on a pvp server it ruins it. One group of players will choose Whatever team, Level up fast as hell. They will already have a raid group ready for when they are high enough to raid. At that point they will raid and get better gear than 90% of the population. And since they are power players they out lvl 90% of the population. So now they are the among the few. Best geared and highest lvls with a pvp group at the ready to raid defend what they want. Anyone who wants to compete will HAVE to have this. Most people will not have this. SO at this point this group of 'I live on this game" people will run the show. After they have leveled up they will start leveling alts to raid lower level zones. I assume the level cap on pvp will be in effect. So you gear out a group of 35's and raid the lower level places with them etc etc you see where all this is going. The new server will be run by these types of people.
Edit: just because this group of power players all have to choose races that are on the same team doesnt changed much. Eventually they will have maxed toons on all teams so they can kill/raid who/what/when they want.
