Um. I hate having to repeat this so many times on the forums... but if you're new to the server and don't say hello to ppl or acknowledge them before seeing them in-zone, they will automatically assume you could mean them harm. And so will often attack on sight. If you want to make friends with some stranger, immediately upon zoning into the zone, give a tell or /shout and ask what's up, state your intentions, and ask if they want to group. Let them know you're not a threat and could be of benefit to them.
