well, fixing resists is a indirect buffs as deflux will heal back hopefully partialed dmg for full dmg since u cant partial lifetaps
in addition if my memory serves me correctly on live deflux/ne lifetap would heal the necro back for its full pve dmg as opposed to the partial'd #, here you get back only 66%, that extra 100ish hp from ur lifetap in a heal is p game changing for necros
so on live if deflux did 500dmg pve, it would do say 300 dmg pvp but the necro would still self heal for 500 dmg, the heal part of the lifetap is essentially nerfed here atm.. i could b wrong was awhile ago, but since the first day i picked up the necro class here i felt slightly neutered

Lifetap was never coded this way. Whatever damage you do is what you receive as a heal. Try lifetapping someone that's invulnerable or manaskinned, you'll get nothing back.
So yes, Deflux always did 219 dmg in pvp which is why it's an overrated spell (much like Splurt) and why necros are garbage post 50 -- which is classic. Necros sucked balls from 51-60 and were completely absent from pvp servers.
