You forgot the classic way to make them better: counters on spells. If it took the appropriate number of casts of Cure Disease, Cure Poison, or Cancel Magic to remove buffs/debuffs/DoTs then all of the sudden things are classic and Necros and other classes reliant on these spells become much better.
In the meantime, Deflux doesn't care about dispel.

Are the counters here not classic? A quick glance at the spell data says they are.
Also Deflux is pretty bad. It won't outheal one round of melee damage.
