Nope, Low HP aggro is so strong on EQ that it overrides everything else. Basically the mobs smell blood and try to finish off the low hp'er.

Well, I dunno. I've heard that for bard+wizard low HP kiting duos, at high levels the wizard needs to log off and log back on after nuking half of the way down so he doesn't get aggro. Don't know if this is true but I do what I'm told
