One interesting thing you can do is "park" multiple mobs then use a pbaoe to kill them all.

It works like this:

You'll need Flame Lick, Invisibility vs Animals, Snare (Ensnare is better), and Spirit of the Wolf

You charm a mob (lightblue or db and close to light blue)
Find a monster, cast snare, then flame lick twice. (this should grab aggro)
Sic pet.
When the mob get to less than 20% of it's health, it can't run because of snare.
Re-snare the mob.
Find monster number #2
This time, let your pet get beat on some.
Snare the mob.
When you're pet reaches ~25-30% of his hp, pull him back.
Cast Flame Lick twice on the mob, and resnare mob number 1.
Then sic your pet again.
Try to line it up so that mob number 1 and mob number 2 are very close to one another.
When mob number two is below 20%, here's where the fun begins.
Resnare both of them mobs.
Run away a distance and have your charmed pet follow you.
Set the charmed pet to guard.
Stand over the Mob 1 and 2 and cast Invis vs Animals.
Here comes your pet, start casting your PBAOE.
If you time it right, you'll kill mob 1 and 2, and either kill your pet, or send it fleeing.
Kill the pet.
EXP and profit.

That's what I do when I charm kite. Once you get Ensnare at 29 it's much, much better.
