Bullshit. You don't go to jail for false advertising. Technically you could, but I've never heard of it ever happening. Otherwise every CEO of the major pharmaceutical companies would be behind bars. The people who sell those ion metal bracelets would be behind bars. Even the folks who make those "Magic 8-Balls" with the fortune telling octahedron in em would be locked up. And essentially banning someone is the equivalent of capital punishment. Is this seriously the Saudi Arabia of EQEmu servers? You want to ban a guy because you were a sucker for his ruse? That's pretty pathetic. Personally I'd have been too embarassed to post this thread in the first place if I were you.

Anyways, before I manage to piss everyone off I'll leave you with an appropriate quote:

"There's a fool born every minute" - P.T. Barnum
I am pretty sure I said that I didn't know if he should be banned or not.

there is a fine line between false advertisement vs knowingly coning someone out of their money, while false advertisement 99% of the time will not land you in jail, coning / scamming someone out of money will.

yea this one could technically go either way, but I personally view it as more of a con / scam than simple false advertisement, its not like the guy is selling a vacuum he claims has 10 pounds of suction when in fact it only has 8.

oh and by the way, if you are going to quote one of the most famous and iconic sayings of all time try and get it right, its "theres a sucker born every minute"
