"We don't want to force anyone to play a certain way"
Through innaction and support of a specific set of rules that favor certain play.
You force us to play a certain way.
Essentially all we are hearing over and over is:
Roll a bard or necro. Twink, and pvp at level 20, therefore griefing the population off the server.
Congratz...
Its almost impossible to enjoy this game in the state it was meant to be enjoyed because of a draconian lust for certain methods of play.
I wish you all were on the other side of the fence, wanting people to play the game as intended, in a group. The reason it was designed as such.
With a few minor exceptions, not the the extremes its being pushed now.
Continuing my rant... this game has become a solo game. The only players left on the server are solo players. Or dedicated PvE raiders who wish to run small crews of their elite powergaming pals to dominate pixel content.
Theres a few diehard pvpers left. But they mostly run a solo toon and play solo on twinks. There are random duo's/groups if your lucky, theres an influx of newbies.
All the groups I'm in are with alts of these guys who graciously accept newbs into the fold. But there aren't enough to sustain a growing population. The only new players we get are mostly the ones willing to grind the toons, and (now inflated plat since blues economy is boiling over into reds).
Teams99 will die a quick and brutal death if this is the approach we all take to gaming on it.
