The problem is he's not a running QB. Running QBs are generally known for being excellent runners AND being able to throw the ball. Tebow just is not an accurate passer.
The gimmicky run shit eventually fails/failed when the player only has the single threat.
Just because he occasionally hit a nice bomb over the top doesn't mean he was a good passer. He could not complete anywhere near a sufficient percentage of his passes which equates to "not good".
