Classic or Not?
I don't understand the need for discussions about pvp at all, this server was begun with the idea that this would be classic EQ pvp. I start here and see a totally unique improvised coding system that resembled nothing like classic to the point that only the blue aspects of the game were the same.
This is why the server started with 600 people and steadily declined, people signed up for everquest and got a wow hybrid.
No one's discussing changes for blue server or adding unique mobs or raiding systems and look how that server thrives.
There's no new player's that want to play a 15 year old emu it's old pvp players that want to play, and the further you get from classic the more the pop will drop.
I don't understand this utter lack of disdain for pvp rules but the total adherence to a classic blue system?
The reason player's keep leaving is because they want a pvp server like Rallos or Sullon not a hybrid with unique coding. And they want it on launch not two years later.
Let me give you an example of one thing nobody here is even aware of that's different.
"Hitting a Runed target is considered a "miss" until the rune is gone.
This is why melee procs will not go off until the rune is gone.
You do not suffer melee knockback while runed (spells can still push you around and stun you, however).
You also filter the Rune-absorbtion messages in your chat windows by setting "You being Missed"."
Then add unresistable high sun, mage pet's, no spell refresh on jboot's, unqiue spell coding and you can see why a player who signed up for classic EQ got here and said WTF!
List goes on and on. So I don't see why we keep ignoring the things that turn classic red player's off and make them want to leave and trying to add more unique solutions when it was UNIQUE things that the red player's hated the most?
