My first trip to Kunark I fell off the Captain's Skiff when changing boats. Levitate dropped like a rock, not sure why. Had to cast gate since I didn't feel like swimming for a mile.
Also fell off the shuttle at the dock in Erudin and got attacked by a shark. I think there was a lag spike or something. "Large warp detected" was what my screen said if I remember correctly.
Since then I have used all of the boats countless times without any further incident. I also tend to be more careful how I step now, knowing they don't always sail as smooth as I had hoped.
One tip I suggest, make sure they are completely stopped before you board or disembark. They can move from the front of a dock to the side of a dock in the blink of an eye.
