I remember playing on my shitty ass dial up connection back in the day(prior to like 2000-2001) and going link dead all the time. I remember even the first King Tormax kill on my server, there was 3 guilds and over 200 people there. I was lagging so bad, I had to look at the ground or at a wall. I went linkdead like 5 times just running to his spawn point.

Everyone in the guild had standing orders to disable any effect and set all graphic to as low as possible or risk lagging out, us clerics where supposed to sit facing a wall so we had as little "things" as possible happening on our screen and just cast spells when needed, the fun days

And only moved when the command for move spot came
