the elements of larceny, but yes it is easily within that scope. Aalpha misplaced something and Maghda clearly knew it was Aalpha's, he trespassed against the owner with intent to permanently deprive, and he asported the property intending to deprive him.
Perhaps this would be seem less "stupid" if you understood it.
