I've done a bunch of faction work on my iksar monk, just for fun. It's not easy. You can't hand in gnoll teeth regardless of how many you kill because the turn-in is at the Steel Warriors guild hall, which you don't raise faction with by killing gnolls. You can't invis and sneak behind the turn-in NPC either, because the turn-in NPC stands across from another NPC, who will see you because he's facing you if you're sneaking behind the turn-in guy. So to hand them in, you need to get a druid to wolf form you. Then you can hand in the moonstones you get from this quest for additional faction. This will make you friendly with guards, warriors, priests, and merchants (eventually). But you still won't be friendly with the caster's guild, and members of that guild patrol South Qeynos regularly, particularly near the bank. To get that faction upped is a lot harder. So I wouldn't count on it unless you put in a lot of work or want to risk banking near a bunch of angry casters.
