At the pace they do things here, i wouldnt hold my breath.

It took them a year and a half to patch xp loss in pvp, which was obvious a week after launch that it was gonna cause the server to go downhill.

Its not a shot at the devs, they probably have other things going on and cant devote 100% to the server.

But its reality.

I even gave them a way to have item loot without having to reboot the server: make it optional, with a NPC that flags you for item loot and patch in a custom, not so bad set of no drop loot, at least for melees.

I just dont see it happening, even if it would spice up the server.

Maybe after Velious has been smoothed over...

New players have nothing to lose, maybe a melee getting his banded griefed... but i dont know, should have researched a bit that you dont play a melee as a first toon. Like Gustoo said, on Rallos you had a reason as a noob to be fighting twinks, that if they got cocky, they might lose some of that twinkage to a band of bronoobs. Here noobs have nothing to gain beside a fun session of pvp and learning how well each approach to pvp works. With xp loss, it was even worse, all they had to gain was a big chance of xp loss and the need to change zones or log while the twink gets bored and leaves, with minimal chances of experimenting what strategy worked best in pvp for each given class. Im sure that made alot of people pack their shit and leave.

Whats funny is that if they implement the resists people are calling for, it will be worse for noobs because then twinks are basically unrootable with Rallos-like resists. I think nukes got resisted alot as well.

It will not be as bad as when they lost xp fighting twinks, but it will be worse than it is now.

With a new resist system, and item loot, that would be more viable. Because twinks would have to put something on the line if they just wanted to run around griefing naked new people, being really hard to kill.
