What kind of smartphone do you have? I don't know whats so unreliable or illegitimate in regards to using your smartphone as a wifi hotspot. At least with verizon where I am I get a pretty good signal and stable connection, and lag is not really much of a problem. Just dont spend a lot of time in Traks Teeth. Doesn't use much data either.
