I wouldn't try to quantify what is "ok" in regards to defending the staff from a minority of rude, self-entitled players. After all, you're just a simple player like the rest of us - you have no authority to determine what's appropriate here.

Nah, I had it right. A "customer" implies that the person is entitled to a service that they are buying. A consumer implies nothing. I put "customer" in quotations to insinuate sarcasm.
