It seems that the most likely explanation of what is happening is that the DDOS'er are not trying to get your 6k jboots, but they are likely duplicating items worth 4-600k.
Since 6/30 there has been 8 AoNs up for sale. This item only drops of CT. Since I have been in TMO (June 2012) killing it with some regularity AoNs have dropped maybe 4-6 times . All of those are still in the guild on active or not so active players.
During that time when one did come of up for sale, it was double or triple the price it is currently being offered for, it was quite a conversation piece because everyone wants one, cause its cool. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
The GM's have their hands full, I am hoping soon that they figure it out soon. Cause these attacks seem to make the game unplayable at times, whether you are trying to loot a rapier, or heal the tank that is standing in front of Trakanon.

We trash TMO or whoever, just like when I did the fippy prog server(which was... not that bad, could have been waaay worse, imho) we trasted Citizen and Twisted Legion for hax.
But having admitted that (because zerg loot council guilds are fatboy ---> cookie jars, ok?) I highly doubt any of the outright wrong shit -- like duping -- is happening from those ranks.
There is a difference between just some dick mercenary out to make $$ and use a system, and ruthless mutherfucker gamers. The latter still game; the former are just trying to steal shit, imho.
One could make the argument, the latter is total classic, but the former --- BANHAMMER IS CLASSIC.
