I can't speak for 10 years ago as I had stayed with a girl from highschool for 7 years but of the 3 different girls I went on dates with before meeting my girlfriend now, all 3 of them were the ones to ask the question to me about how we'd pay for stuff and they all had no problem splitting the bill and went on more dates afterwards so they mustn't of been too bothered.
