What annoys most rational people is that it has become part of black culture to cling to the past in a completely unreasonable way. Blacks don't own the monopoly on troubled pasts. The Jews and Indians have had it far worse.
Totally ignore the century of Jim Crow America and a de jure white supremacist social order that made South Africa look like a fucking utopia. You're a fucking idiot if you think that the slate is ever wiped clean from history. You're incredibly naive and delusional if you think anybody ever lets anything go from the living memory of history. That's not the way humans in civilization work-- any human group.

But yeah, the fact that my own dad was a lucid human being when black people were fighting for their legal right to vote probably doesn't mean anything. That's all in the past, right? The fact that people still alive today were horrible victims of racist crime that you'll never even know a glimpse of doesn't matter, either. That was the PREVIOUS generation. That doesn't matter any more. They're only running the government from the bottom up as we speak and will relinquish control into the hands of people exactly like them.

But yeah, keep it up with your pure meritocratic utopia to help yourself sleep at night for what this country and your living standard is built upon. That's the morally upright thing to do: tell people to just get over what they went through as American citizens at the hands of law enforcement and white mob mentality. You're a wonder!
