Sanford has such a profoundly disturbing history of KKK and Neo-Nazi activity. That you can selectively say that "anti-white gangs" are somehow the problem given the history of your wonderful little town, it's no small wonder you fall on the side of this issue that you do.

My heritage is Irish. Do you know how many Irish immigrants died in the holds of ships when coming to America? In the earliest days of the Wake, something like 1 out of 8 survived the terrible conditions at sea. The ones that made it lived like third-class citizens and many were forced into tenements or lived as beggars. American employment ads were often footnoted with "No Irish need apply." This is history...and it didn't happen to me, personally, but it did happen. I don't cling to it like some sort of resentment-based comfort blanket and try to use it to get sympathy and handouts.

What annoys most rational people is that it has become part of black culture to cling to the past in a completely unreasonable way. Most living white people didn't own slaves...and most living blacks never experienced slavery first hand. Times change. Many, many people have been treated poorly by history. Blacks don't own the monopoly on troubled pasts. The Jews and Indians have had it far worse.
I don't feel guilty for being white, although many white people do. And yes, if you want to call it "playing the white victim card" because I'm white and someone tried to rob me then I guess that's what I did lol. I'm pretty sure the person on the receiving end of the robbery is called "the victim" in most cases.
Also, I never said that "anti-white gangs" are the problem. That was bad comprehension on your part. Gangs are a problem. Publicly held and aggressive anti-white sentiments are a problem that I personally encountered. Are there neo-Nazis in Sanford? I have no idea because I never tried to find them...however the white-hating black people DID find me. Non-racially motivated crime also abounded; break-ins and robberies and such. That's my experience.
Racial turmoil, gang presence and general high-crime rate then leads to my actual point: I've seen enough stupid crap go down in the area that it didn't surprise me to see someone get shot in self defense.
