I lived in Sanford for about four years. I worked in the new store that was built right in front of the community where that kid was shot. When I heard the story breaking about him being shot, it did not surprise me in the least. The town is full of roaming hooligans and little thug wannabes, gang activity was high, and anti-white racism was thriving in the Historic downtown area/the hood. I would frequently get harangued by blacks just walking down the street and I had one try to rob me on the sidewalk a block from the police station until he saw how pissed off and armed I was.
It's a wonder more people don't get shot in that town.
