If you look at the shamans who either a) placed in the BOTB or b) achieved solo artist GM status you have Svenn (barbarian), Orruar (barbarian), Jeremy (barbarian), Zagum (troll) and Klubba (troll).
Conclusion: Barbarian and Troll are better than Ogre.
