flagrant sexism aside, i've heard this type of analysis frequently. basically, that the jury will split the difference with manslaughter based on the emotional pull of martin
i think that shows a sad lack of faith in the jurors. the evidence is flatly insufficient to disprove self defense. that should be the beginning and end of this case, and i believe that at least 1 of the jurors -- and ideally, all 6 of them -- will arrive at that conclusion. unless you agree that self defense has been disproved beyond a reasonable doubt, you cannot even convict him of manslaughter.
i find it very likely that he is acquitted, or at the least, that the jury is hung. if he is convicted, i believe the ruling would almost definitely be overturned on appeal
