Had something similar happen to me during an upper endoscopy. Woke up with a tube down my throat I couldn't breathe or move I just kept trying to swallow it which was impossible and just made me gag a little. Only woke up for maybe 6-7 seconds and passed back out, but it was very scary...

Lucky for me I wasn't really scared, I just felt tugging and stuff in my mouth.
I won't lie, it was damned painful a few hours later. I slept most of the rest of the day.
