When looking to see if songs stack, you don't look at the song type (group v2) you try to see which "slot" have which effects. Consider these 4 songs:

Hymn of Restoration

1 : Increase Hitpoints by 2 per tick (L6) to 14 per tick (L65)

Psalm of Mystic Shielding

1 : Increase Magic Resist by 51 (L41) to 75 (L65)
2 : Increase Absorb Magic Damage by 15
3 : Increase Hitpoints by 5 per tick
4 : Increase AC by 4 (L41) to 6 (L65)

Niv's Melody of Preservation

1 : Increase STR by 10
2 : Increase Absorb Magic Damage by 10
3 : Increase Hitpoints by 6 per tick (L47) to 9 per tick (L65)

Cantata of Replenishment

1 : Increase Hitpoints by 11 per tick (L55) to 13 per tick (L65)
2 : Increase Mana by 12 per tick (L55) to 14 per tick (L65)
3 : Decrease Stamina Loss by 10

As we can anticipate, since Heal Song and Cantata both have the heal portion as slot 1, they do not stack together, and since Psalm and Niv's have it as slot 3, they do not stack together either. Heal song will stack with either Psalm or Niv's, and Cantata will also stack with either Psalm of Niv's as well.

The most hp gained is Niv's and Cantata with a lute equipped since both are string based. At lvl 60 with a Kelin's Seven Stringed Lute (2.4 mod), it heals 48 hp a tick.

In most real game (not to say real life) situations, you will have a Breath of Harmony which has the insta-click effect of Niv's, and you will want to click it as often as you can to keep Niv's up with whatever other song choices you can manage.

If grouped with a Shaman, Necro, or someone with a manastone or using mod rods, both niv's and Psalm have a damage absorb effect that will decrease the hp loss. Using the BoH click of Niv's every time you see the "bigfatshaman winces" message is a very powerful combo.

happy singing,
